Reviews of the Album POSITIVE ENERGY
Official promotion text of BMG:
Nobody can stop Daniel K. from Eggenfelden. After "You drive me crazy" he now presents a complete album where the formerly little wild boy from "Deutschland sucht den Superstar"* shows his real potential. Until then he
proved his talent as an excellent entertainment star and let his fans freak out. Now he also shows that his vocals are premier league and presents a thrilling album together with successful producer Dieter Bohlen where he turns out to be a real vocal talent.
by the amazon editor:
The "Superstar of Hearts" divides the opinions: Genius or fraud? Pain in the neck or gifted entertainer? Positive Energy will also meet controverse judgements. One thing is clear: The entertainment value of the boy of Eggenfelden
is far superior to his superstar mates. Singing - he himself always admitted it - others do it better. But it is Daniels very lack of selfconsciousness and his enthusiasm when he approaches music that credits him so much sympathy.
Dieter Bohlen has tailor-made twelve pop songs for him which fit Daniel only too well. And Bohlen admittedly knows his job. Daniel also performs some real rock tracks ("I donīt want to live another life") and a cover version of Roy Orbisonīs "Pretty Woman". All that doesnīt even sound bad, contrary maybe to the expectations of some. And the star from Eggenfelden will give a treat of 45 minutes of positive energy to everyone who likes him.
Conclusion: Surely not a great musical accomplishment: But on Positive Energy we see a young star finding his way - somewhere between music, comedy and entertainment. An artist who "only" is a musician will hardly become of Daniel Küblböck. We are looking forward to what Daniel is up to when he leaves the protecting wings of Dieter Bohlen and goes his own way.

Crazy Kübi spreads Positive Energy!
(06-22-03)
He has been spreading positive energy for months, now he packs this typical kübelböckesque attribute on a CD. You will find his two single hits "You Drive Me Crazy" and "Heartbeat" and 11 other songs on it which underline the entertainment qualities of Daniel Küblböck.
Positive Energy is a thrilling album that has been recorded in co-production with the successful producer Dieter Bohlen. When you listen to it it reminds you of old "DSDS"*-programmes: Daniel is convincing in every role - as Mr. Lover, as RockīnīRoll Hero, as Heartbreaker, he covers Roy Orbisonīs Pretty Women and in the end he reveals himself as a Superman in the Eggenfelden Mix.
With his first single release "You drive me crazy" he at once soared at number one of the single charts and even ousted the winner Alexander.
The song already achieved gold status before its release with around 500.000 reservations. His second single "Heartbeat" afterwards landed right on number two of the sales charts. Letīs look how the album places itself in the charts.

Crazyscream! Daniel Küblböck from DSDS* releases his first album
Daniel Küblböck, Kübi from Eggenfelden and the third in the DSDS*-league now presents us the full range of heartbeat. After the two single releases "You Drive Me Crazy" and "Heartbeat" he is doubtlessly heading right into the
albumcharts with his album debut "Positive Energy".
At least since "Deutschland sucht den Superstar"* everybody knows that Daniel K. - sorry - Küblböck is a real paragon of energy. While Alexander, Juliette and Co. won over with voice and glamour, Daniel lolled with "crazy styling" on the dancefloor and became everybodyīs darling. A clear sign that vocals are no condition for being a real pop star.
And he proves with his album that he is a born pop star. Although produced by Dieter Bohlen who has been preoccupied with Alexander and Yvonne Catterfeld for the last weeks, it is Daniel squeaky voice that makes him distinct among
the DSDS*-Group. Plus outfit. Plus styling. Plus stage performance. Plus
giggling.
Thereīs not much to be said on the individual songs of the album. Some are rock, the others pop. Just like the style of the previously released singles.
Some produce goose-pimples, the others even "elephant spots". Something of every style so that everybody will be pleased. <jam>

The success of the first series of Deutschland sucht den Superstar* has to be credited fully to the 17 year old from Eggenfelden. Three times Daniel was number one in the telephone voting. Although he only became number three in
the final programmes he is the true winner. It became difficult for Dieter Bohlen for he had to write a song for an unusual voice. The first song "Superman" fitted perfectly. The first solo single "You Drive Me Crazy" was not that convincing and gave the feeling to listen to the cover version of an oldie, nevertheless number one. Now the first solo album has been released and surprises. First of all, all songs perfectly suit Daniel. In some songs Daniels vocals are too much drowned by the background choir. I especially took to the Roy Orbison song "Pretty Woman", anyone who expects a cheap copy will meet a pleasant surprise. Contradicting the overall cavil, Daniel Küblböck couldnīt sing, one has to admit that Bohlen is still far away from making the perfect songs for this unusual voice. Daniel can sing, that is out of question and positively the song will come which will prove it. In the end this isnīt important
at all, because with Daniel the showbusiness at least has found a real living personality on stage. somebody who can transport something, who is born to be on stage, somebody who touches directly the people's hearts, (still) without putting on airs. In conclusion you can say that the album is well done
and gives you a good time on every party. Less convincing are the lyrics of Bohlen. Wherever Daniel turns up the people are thrilled and want more of him. Even at the "Summer Party of Folk Music" (ARD 6/21/03) the applause went on
for minutes after his performance. You will hardly find another artist so popular with the old and the young as Daniel Küblböck and you will hardly find anyone who is able to perform in a childrensī magazine, on a rock stage and later in a hip club without making a laugh of himself.
Presently the second series starts and according to RTL there are more than 160 000 applications. People are preselected all over the country. The question is whether Dieter Bohlen again presents just the right songs and if in this series real personalities are detected. There is already one Daniel
Küblböck, a copy would be ridiculous, the applicants should always remember this.
