Before long, everyone heard of him – Daniel from Eggenfelden.
His cool mottos, his crazy way & stylings as well as his unique outfits quickly made him the darling of the 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' (DSDS - this is the German equivalent to "Idols") audience. Thus he eventually made it among the three finalists. But Daniel had to go; Alexander & Juliette made it to the final show. Yet the faniels consider Daniel the actual winner of DSDS.
A millionfold audience witnessed how the shy nursery-school teacher trainee turned into a pop idol & a model for thousands of teenagers. But music didn't enter Kübi's life as late as DSDS: Music would play an important role much earlier in his life – during his days as a student in Eggenfelden and as a nursery-school teacher trainee in Pfarrkirchen. He sang & played the guitar in a band & got inspired by various artists like Eminem, JLo, Herbert Grönemeyer, Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson & Madonna, following his motto 'music has to come from the heart'.
Now Daniel has the chance to live his dream of making music & show that he's able to make music no bother. His first single 'You Drive Me Crazy' (produced by Dieter Bohlen) became sensational when it immediately shot to the top of the charts. It even reached gold at its release & ousted DSDS winner Alexander from the top. Daniel seems to be a persistent recidivist. Even though 'You Drive Me Crazy' still lingers in the charts he puts more coal on the fire: his second single called 'Heartbeat' promises to become another big hit.
Daniel's enormous ambition helped him not only through DSDS – he practised his songs by far more than all his Superstar colleagues. While the big Superstars tour is on Daniel goes to the studio to please us with one of his crazy video clips. He's long since proved that being a Superstar means more than a good voice & a well-drilled choreography. Even star producer Dieter Bohlen is gob-smacked, 'Daniel is the most radiant personality I've ever met in this business'. Let's look forward to what Daniel brings next.

Daniel's biography titled 'Ich lebe meine Töne' ('I live my sounds') was released on Sept 18th, 2003. The book, written by Julia Boenisch, renders deep insights into the life of Daniel, who has been through more hard times than many others had to go through in their entire lives. It is to be hoped that Daniel's book will open new horizons for his opponents too.
